PEEPING TOM

plexiglas, foil, print
14x16x16 cm

2011

The project is an alternative physical representation of stereoscopes, which were highly significant in the spread of pornographic images in the 19th century. This kind of “peeping” is also prevalent in our society today, starting with a plethora of websites based on seeking/offering sexual partners, not least advertisements aimed at raising the sales rate by exploiting sexual desire.

The peeping boxes show individually paused images of various erotic videos from porn sites, using an anaglyph technique based on black and white monochromatic scheme.
